Visited India after 4 years

We visited India after 4 years. I did not find many changes to the environment. It looks similar to when I left in 2000/2003. The Economic conditions and the prices have gone up.
I visited only Tamilnadu and to be more specific, Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Karaikudi, Rameswaram. The only places I did not visit was Bangalore of all the places I used to stay.

I did bargain to Auto guys .
Felt the same experience with Public Transportation (Buses and Trains).
Food is good in the same places like Saravana Bavan.
Temples are crowded. I visited a lot .
Dress materials are cheap if we buy and stitch.
Ready-made dresses even though highly priced could not be used with an additional stitching.
Ice creams and Pizzas NOT worth their money. Arun ice creams did not have all the stuff which are in their menu cards, this was uniform in all places - cities and small villages.

Lots of new cars.
New Toll Roads.
Call taxis are good and they are cheaper and comfortable than Autos.
Telephones are cheap for long distances, not for local calls.
The crowd at all levels are crazy in using the cell phones. cell phones while hanging on foot-boards on buses. Auto/Taxi drivers driving with cell phone in one hand.
